Fay V. Gentzler
YORK – Fay V. Gentzler, 90, entered into rest Friday morning, March 18, 2022 at Autumn House East. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Gentzler.
Born May 6, 1931 in York, Fay was a daughter of the late Wilmer J. and Ada J. (Bowser) Lehman.
She was a homemaker who had also worked for LG Potato Chip Factory.
Fay was a member of Dover U.C.C. and was on the prayer chain. She organized Breakfast Chatterers, formerly Golden Agers. Fay enjoyed writing poetry and prayers and did so for the church as well.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Hoffman and husband, George of Dover; Debbie Markle and husband, James of York; and Sandra Dolcich and husband, Benedict of Westerville, OH; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Julia Fay and two sisters, Ester Ruth and Thelma Green.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Fay’s funeral at 10 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Dover U.C.C., 45 West Canal Street, Dover. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery, York. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Eva O’Diam. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving her family.
