Faye M. Elicker
DOVER – Faye Marie (Sterner) Elicker, 85, entered into rest at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Russell E. Elicker, Jr. The couple celebrated 62 years of marriage on June 16, 2024.
Born January 11, 1940 in East Berlin, Faye was a daughter of the late Dale H. and Dorothy R. (Linebaugh) Sterner.
She graduated from Dover High School in 1958. Faye was a homemaker who later had 15 years of service for Kelly Transit where she was a handicap school bus driver. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of York and York Quilters Guild. Faye enjoyed quilting and baking, especially pies.
In addition to her husband, Faye is survived by her three children, Glenda M. Larry of Ashburn, VA, Brian E. Elicker and wife, Melissa of Wrightsville and Jason D. Elicker of Port Orchard, WA; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and brother, Robert E. Sterner and wife, Connie of Dover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn I. (Sterner) Altland.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Faye’s graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York. The funeral procession will form at the cemetery’s entrance at 10:45 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Betsy McCormick, spiritual care pastor at First Presbyterian Church of York. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. of Dover.
