DOVER – Floyd D. Drawbaugh, 93, entered into rest at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at SpiriTrust Lutheran – The Village at Sprenkle Drive in York.  He was the husband of the late Phyllis E. (Gettel) Drawbaugh.
 
Born September 15, 1927 in Dover, Floyd was a son of the late William D. and Minnie (Smith) Drawbaugh.
 
He was U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII.
 
Floyd worked for Lyon Metal in York for 25 years and Gichner Shelter Systems in Dallastown for five years.
 
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Dover; Dover Lions Club; a life member of West York VFW Post 8951; Shiloh American Legion Post 791; Western York County Democratic Club; and Union Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover.
 
Floyd enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling on bus trips and stone mason work.
 
He is survived by his daughter, Cherie E. Drawbaugh of Dover; a sister, Nancy Raffensberger of Dover; two nieces, Karla Wood and Christine Aument; and three nephews, Terry Drawbaugh, Ryan Gettel and Nathan Hain.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Charles and Carl Drawbaugh; and a sister, Daisy Drawbaugh.
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Floyd’s graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Greenmount Cemetery, York with a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Abby Leese.  Veteran’s honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
