Franklin H. Dapp
DOVER – Franklin H. Dapp, 80, entered into rest at 8:28 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Country Meadows of York – West. He was the loving husband of Victoria A. (Sheeley) Dapp. The couple celebrated 54 years of marriage on August 20, 2025.
Born January 15, 1946 in Williamsport, Franklin was a son of the late Harry and Treva (Wagner) Dapp.
He graduated from York Suburban High School in 1966 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Franklin had 32 years of service as an operator for the City of York’s Wastewater Treatment facility. He also owned and operated his own photography business.
Franklin was a member of Asbury U.M. Church in York. He was also an avid pocket watch collector and member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, Inc. in Columbia.
In addition to his wife, Franklin is survived by a daughter, Nicole Dapp of Dover; a brother, Thomas Dapp of Nightdale, NC; two sisters, Treva Puckett and Alice Beard, both of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Clara Toomey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Franklin’s funeral at 10 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Asbury U.M. Church, 340 E. Market St., York. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens where veteran’s honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be his pastor, the Reverend Dr. J.P. Bohanan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
