Fred L. Brungart

YORK – Fred L. Brungart, 79, entered into rest at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023 after a long fight with diabetes and neuropathy due to an automobile accident in 1982.  He was the loving husband of Bonita R. (Stambaugh) Brungart.

He was born January 30, 1944 in Loganton.

Fred had over 20 years of service for Caterpillar where he was a machine operator.  He was an avid fisherman who received many citations and awards.  He also loved animals, especially dogs and cats.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by children, Sherrie Jackson and husband, Mark, Raymond Brungart, Corey Sunday and wife, Paula and Angela Sunday; grandsons, Trevor Jackson and wife, Leah, Hunter Jackson, and Rodney Paul Sunday and wife, Carrie; and a great granddaughter, Nora.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice (Brungart) Moyer and brother, Daniel Moyer.

Following cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving his family.
