Frederick J. Keller
YORK - Frederick J. Keller, 72, entered into rest at 10:55 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Elaine L. (Albright) Keller, who died in 2017. The couple shared 42 years together, including 35 years of marriage.
Born August 7, 1953 in Dallastown, Fred was a son of the late James F. and Betty J. (Boyd) Keller.
Most recently, he was employed by On Site Lube Services, Inc. in York. In addition, Fred and his wife owned and operated Westgate Laundromat for 21 years and he previously had over 20 years of service as a mechanic for Stetler Dodge.
Fred was a member of the American Legion Post 543 - Red Lion. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing the drums and putting together model cars.
He is survived by four children, Troy L. Keller and wife, Amy of Spencerville, IN, Tammy S. Byers and husband, Benjamin of Red Lion, Michelle L. Retallack and husband, Shawn of Elizabethtown and Joshua J. Albert of York; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his fiancé, Donna Ziegfeld of Maryland; two brothers, Raymond Keller of Dover and Barry Keller of York; and three sisters, Judy Whitecamp of York, Rose Strom of York and Patty Sliver of Dallastown. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Albert and grandson, Darren Bonilla.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Fred's funeral at 12 noon and the viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St, Dover. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson.
