DOVER, PA – Gary M. Haines, 66, entered into rest Tuesday afternoon, January 11, 2022 at his home.

Born June 29, 1955 in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, he was a son of the late Alvin M. and Gloria M. (Gould) Haines.

Gary attended Virgina Tech for architecture and worked as a cook and cook trainer. He loved music and was an avid sports fan, especially his Jets and Eagles. One of his last wishes were that his children stay together forever, and everyone “Party, live life, don’t worry and be happy”.

Gary is survived by three children, Eric M. Haines and girlfriend, Ashley Horn of Dundalk, MD, Kelly M. Haines and boyfriend, Linwood Curtis of Essex, MD, Jon S. Haines of Dover, PA; seven grandchildren, Blake, Nevaeh, Chasity, Cody, Lamont, Dash and Kinsley; two brothers, David S. Haines of Mantua, NJ and Douglas A. Haines of Levittown, PA; and his former wife and mother of his children, Suzanne M. (Whalen) Haines of Virginia.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, PA is serving his family.
