Gerald N. Cook
DOVER – Gerald N. Cook, 82, entered into rest at 12:20 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community. He was the loving husband of Ruth M. (Myers) Cook. The couple celebrated 61 years of marriage on September 21, 2024.
Born September 20, 1942 in Wellsville, Gerald was a son of the late Norman O. and Ruth E. (Klugh) Cook.
He graduated from Northern High School in 1960 and retired following 30 years of service for Caterpillar.
Gerald lived his life for the Lord. He was a very active member and deacon of Wolgamuth Church of the Brethren and Bermudian Church. Gerald enjoyed bowling, golfing and woodworking. He also coached a number of baseball teams, including little league and varsity.
In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by two sons, Neal G. Cook and wife, Ingrid and Galen D. Cook, all of Dover; a granddaughter, Elizabeth R. Cook; and two brothers, Lorin E. Cook of Michigan and Rick L. Cook of Newville.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service to celebrate Gerald’s life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Bermudian Church, 279 Bermudian Church Rd., East Berlin, followed by a visitation. Burial will be private in Wolgamuth Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Firster. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover.
