Hazel A. Hollinger Ewell

YORK – Hazel A. Hollinger Ewell, 89, entered into rest at 9:25 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at ProMedica York North.  She was the wife of the late Gerald H. Hollinger and the late Lester Ewell.

Born March 30, 1932 in Esty, West Virginia, Hazel was a daughter of the late Roby and Mildred Z. (Crane) Stanley.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She especially loved when they played music for her since she had a special appreciation for Bluegrass and Country music.

Hazel is survived by four sons, Ronnie R. Hollinger and wife, Linda and Robert C. Hollinger and wife, Adina, all of Dover, Rorie J. Hollinger and Rodger D. Hollinger and wife, Tracy, all of Wellsville; two daughters, Tottie L. Decker and Torie L. Hollinger, both of Dover; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Spangler of Wellsville and Gary Spangler of Utah.  In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Rickey L. Hollinger and Randy G. Hollinger; three grandchildren; a sister, Theda A. Lauer; and two brothers, David and Charles Spangler.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Hazel’s funeral at 2 p.m. and the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 North Queen Street, Dover. Burial will follow in Rohlers Mountain View Cemetery, Dover. Officiating will be pastor James Winter.
