Hunter W. Zeigler
DOVER – Hunter W. Zeigler, 25, entered into rest unexpectedly on Friday, April 30, 2021, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born December 13, 1995 in York, Hunter was a son of Thomas W. and Lisa M. (Sweitzer) Zeigler of Dover.
He graduated from York County School of Technology in 2014 and served an electrical apprenticeship with Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., graduating in 2017.
Hunter worked as an electrician for Engles & Fahs, Inc. for eight years.
He was a member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 22 in Weigelstown. Hunter obtained Eagle Scout in 2013.
He loved his chickens, ducks, rabbit named Thumper, turkey named Hank and Rottweilers. Hunter was a Baltimore Orioles and Green Bay Packers Fan. He enjoyed his Dodge, “Cliff”, dirt track racing, drinking beer on Saturday nights and his money maker.
Hunter was a one of a kind, down to earth, and loving young man with a heart of gold and a huge smile. His kindness will extend beyond his death, as he was an organ donor.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Ethan M. Zeigler and wife, Ashlee of Spring Grove; two nephews, Jayson and Mayson; his girlfriend, Brooke Glass of Glen Rock; paternal grandparents, George and Roseann Zeigler of York; maternal grandmother, Linda Williams of York, maternal grandparents, David and Cindy Sweitzer of Dallastown; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as numerous friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Paul Williams, Sr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Hunter’s funeral at 1 p.m. and the visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Dover Fish & Game, 6071 Fish & Game Rd., Dover. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Officiating will be Charles Redding.
Additionally, there will be a celebration of life service for Hunter at 12 noon on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Nashville Fire Department, 116 Nashville Blvd., Spring Grove. The family suggests that those in attendance wear overalls and your favorite racing or sports team shirt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to R.E.A.L Rott Rescue, 32790 Briarwood Ct., Avon Lake, OH 44012.
