Isabelle L. Leib
YORK – Isabelle L. (Moritz) Leib, 89, entered into rest at 11:51 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Floyd E. Leib.
Born September 17, 1932 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Luella M. (Riley) Moritz.
Isabelle retired from Pfaltzgraff and previously worked for Doe Spun, Inc. She was a former member of Salem U.C.C. and York County Society of Farm Women Group 17. Isabelle was also a former committee woman of ILGWA.
She enjoyed bowling, quilting, traveling with her husband, going on cruises with her sisters and spending time with them in the mountains. More recently, she liked visiting the casinos and botanical gardens, as well as shopping. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her family.
Isabelle is survived by two daughters, Beth M. Bensel and husband, Bill and Vickie L. Hammaker, all of York; two sons, Stephen E. Leib and Gregory S. Leib, both of York; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and four sisters, Dolores Delp of Loganville, Jeanne Herbst of Craley, Rosalie Hubler and Linda Kottmyer, both of York. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Earl, John, Wayne, Ray and James Moritz and a sister, Helena Miller.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Isabelle’s funeral at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The family requests that those in attendance wear a surgical or N-95 mask. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Chaplain Don Alspaugh of White Rose Memorial Hospice.
