YORK – Jacob  M. “Jake” Ehrhart, Jr., 62, entered into rest at 2:56 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born April 23, 1961 in York, Jake was a son of the late Jacob M. Ehrhart, Sr. and Shirley A. (Ilgenfritz) Ehrhart, and step-son of Carolyn Ehrhart of York the late Francisco Vega.

He had been a manager at Owls Social Club in York.  Jake enjoyed working on cars, going to the races and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He also loved to DoorDash.  His dog, Coco, was his favorite, but above all else, he loved his children and was a father figure to many.

Jake is survived by his seven children, Francisco Ehrhart, Jacob Ehrhart, Shirley Ehrhart, Devon Smith, Selena Ehrhart, Nakisha Ehrhart and Domanic Ehrhart, all of York; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Melissa Ehrhart Baker of York County, Toleia, Loana and Bethanie; and three brothers, Justin and Brian Ehrhart and Bill Kemper.  In addition to his parents and step-father, Jake was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalinda and a brother, Clarence.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jake’s funeral at 3 p.m. and the visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier.
