Jacob C. Peterman
DILLSBURG – Jacob C. Peterman, 65, entered into rest Sunday morning, January 10, 2021 at his home. He was the loving husband of Wanda M. (Kline) Peterman. The couple celebrated 12 years of marriage on February 16, 2020.
Born April 1, 1955 in Mechanicsburg, he was a son of the late Jacob C. Peterman and Ruth N. (Himes) Peterman Emig and step-son of the late William M. Emig.
Jacob graduated from Dover High School in 1973 and had almost 40 years of service for Dover Township where he worked on the highway crew.
He attended Rohlers Assembly of God in Dover and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by step-daughters, Dawn Wolf of Bradenton, FL and Emily Toro and husband, Rey of New Cumberland; step-son, Joshua Dodson of Lemoyne; step-grandchildren, Anna and Maria Stough, Alexander Wolf, Malachi and Amysia Dodson and Maurai Toro; two brothers, Larry Peterman and wife, Elaine of York and Timothy Peterman and wife, Deb of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-daughter, Cindi Stough.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jacob’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Rohlers Assembly of God, 761 Rohlers Church Rd., Dover. Burial will follow in Mountain Road Cemetery, Dillsburg. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Edward Rowand and his nephew, the Rev. Robert Tomes. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those in attendance are required to where face masks and practice social distancing. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving his family.
