James D. Borne
GLEN ROCK – James D. Borne, 32, entered into rest on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2025 in Freeland, MD as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 11, 1993 in Harrisburg, a son of Michael R. and Colleen D. (Lear) Borne of Dover.
James graduated from Dover Area High School in 2011. He worked in construction and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all else, his daughter, Elouise, was his whole life. He loved spending time with her, especially enjoying nature together.
In addition to his parents and daughter, Elouise Vera Borne, he is survived by two sisters, Grace and Katie Borne; his grandmother, Maureen Lear; his former wife, McKenzie Schimp; and his extended family.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a short service at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Officiating will be Pastor Josh Kleinfeld of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene.
