James W. Cobb, Jr.

DOVER – James Warren Cobb, Jr., husband of Deborah Gamblin Cobb, died on May 22, 2023 at his home in Dover, PA after a lingering illness.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 16, 1950 to the late James Warren Cobb and Margaret Alma Berninger Cobb.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie, his son, Christopher Cobb and wife, Sarah and daughter Jamie Cobb Mulhollen; his grandchildren, Bryce and Sydney Cobb, Kyley and Kaleb Mulhollen; one sister, Darlene Rupinsky and husband, Frances, one brother, Dan Cobb and wife, Mollie; his close friend and “adopted son” from Israel that called him Dad, Adam Amer; a niece, Sherry Ott and husband, Jay; two nephews, Landon Ray and wife, Amanda and Tyler Cobb.  Finally his two fur babies, Mercy and Grace.  Jim was preceded in death by a nephew, Jordan Cobb, a great nephew, Shay and a great niece, Noe Ott.

Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of New Creation Community Church and Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and a former member of the Visual Reality Car Club, showing his 1959 Chevy Sedan Delivery, “The Outlaw Express”.

Jim enjoyed traveling and camping for 36 years and was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Viewing will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at New Creation Community Church, 3005 Emig Mill Rd., Dover, PA, from 10 to 11 a.m. with the service immediately following the viewing at the church.  Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Kurt Herzberg. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York where veteran's honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
