DOVER – Janet M. Krone, 94, entered into rest Saturday evening, June 5, 2021 at UPMC Memorial Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Stuart S. Krone, with whom she shared over 67 years of marriage.
 
Born October 11, 1926 in Dover Township, Janet was a daughter of the late George N. and Rachael E. (Owens) Gross.
 
She was a homemaker who previously worked for Fluhrer’s Jewelry Store in York.  Janet was a life member of Salem Lutheran Church in Dover, as well as Farm Women Group #16 and Heritage Senior Center.  She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends in addition to traveling with her husband.
 
Janet is survived by two sons, Barry N. Krone and wife, Sue of Fort Mill, SC and Dennis S. Krone and wife, Debbie of Dover; a daughter, Sharon M. Klinedinst and husband, Wayne of Dover; five grandchildren, Darryl, Eric and Michael Krone, Kevin Klinedinst and Amy (Klinedinst) Faden; and eight great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Marjorie M. Bentzel.
 
Services for Janet will be private with burial in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover.  Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving her family.
