Janet E. Waring
DOVER – Janet Elizabeth Waring, 84, entered into rest at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at UPMC Memorial with her daughter, Nancy, by her side. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Edmund C. Waring.
Born July 19, 1940 in Grove City, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Janice (Beatty) Sidley.
Janet graduated from Grove City High School and retired in 1995 from AMP, Inc. where she worked as an assembler. Following retirement, Janet and her husband moved to Florida where they were members of First Baptist Church in Lake Panasoffkee, FL. She had also been an active member of St. David’s E.C. Church in Dover.
Janet loved her family dearly and her granddaughter was her pride and joy. She also enjoyed quilting, traveling with her husband, singing and was an animal lover, especially cats. Janet had an infectious smile that could light up any room.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Waring and girlfriend, Tammi Lehr of York and Nancy Fuentes of Dover; her son-in-law, Allen Fuentes of Dover; granddaughter, Rio Fuentes; and step-grandchildren, Ryan and Evan Fuentes. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Jim and Donald Sidley and her sister, Barbara King
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Janet’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. David’s E.C. Church, 2411 Oakland Rd., Dover. Private burial will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. N. Patrick Teaford.
