Jason W. Weaver
DOVER – Jason W. Weaver, 49, entered into rest at 11:42 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Misty M. (Motter) Weaver. The couple celebrated 17 years of marriage on June 30, 2025.
Born July 10, 1976 in Chambersburg, Jason was the son of Rodney G. and Debra J. (Bard) Weaver of Shippensburg.
He graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1994 and later served five years in the United States Air Force, completing two tours overseas in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. He was stationed at Beale Air Force Base in California and was a U-2 crew chief.
Jason earned an associate’s degree from HACC in 2009.
He was a proud stay at home dad who loved to support his kids in all of their activities. Jason enjoyed playing guitar and video games, hiking and camping and was a former hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jason is survived by his children, Rayna M. Weaver and Dexter L. Weaver, both of Dover; brother, Shane M. Weaver and wife, Kathy of Landisburg; mother-in-law, Darla Varner of York; father-in-law, David Motter of Shippensburg; paternal grandmother, Pauline Frey of Chambersburg; sister-in-law, Jodi Miller of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his beloved cats: Milo, Kimchi, Phoenix, Evie, and Alley Cat, as well as Norman the Ferret.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jason’s funeral at 3 p.m. and the visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9 N. Main St., Dover where veteran honor’s will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be the Rev. Abigail Leese. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
