Jeanne L. Stouch
YORK – Jeanne L. Stouch, 90, entered into rest on December 1, 2021 at her home.
Born July 29, 1931 in Dover Township, she was a daughter of the late Chauncey M. and Mary R. (Detter) Gross.
Jeanne graduated from Dover Area High School in 1949 where she was crowned prom queen. She also played basketball and was dubbed the nickname “Speedy Jeanne”. Jeanne went on to earn a diploma from York Junior College in 1951.
She retired from West York School District following over 40 years as secretary at Lincolnway Elementary School. Jeanne enjoyed cross-stitch, reading and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, Roderick L. Stouch of Santa Monica, CA and Brian L. Stouch and fiancée, Leanne M. Gross of York; two grandsons, Jonathan M. Stouch and Benjamin M. Stouch; three great grandchildren, Jaden M. Stouch, Ava L. Stouch, and Beckett J. Stouch; three bonus granddaughters, Taylor Rose and husband Evan, Stephanie Hertzog and husband Joel, and Victoria Gross; and a brother, Wayne Gross and wife, Dodie of Cross Keys Village. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Gross and three sisters, Ruthanna Myers, Lorraine Bitting and Geraldine Easter.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a time to celebrate Jeanne’s life from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.
