Jessica Marie Hummel Lamb

Jessica Marie Hummel Lamb, 46 years of age, born in Baltimore, Marlyand and from Dover, Pennsylvania, passed suddenly on June 19, 2023. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas R. Lamb II; her parents, Michael and Sharren Hummel; her brother, Joshua Hummel and sister-in-law Kristin Hummel; her treasured niece Kenzie and nephews, Zachary and Cody Hummel; her beloved step-children, Lexi, Cole, Kyle and Jackson Lamb; and her aunt, Ilene Hummel.  Jessica was a devoted wife, stepmom, daughter, sister and aunt who was loved by all.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Elon University of North Carolina with triple major in International Studies, Political Studies and Spanish.  Jessica was a dedicated public servant who retired from the Baltimore County Police Department with 20 years of service and continued serving her community as an advocate with the YWCA York Human Sex Trafficking Team.  She was active in her HOA, was passionate about spending time and taking care of her loved ones, her two puppies (Minnie and Mabel), and anyone in need.  She will be greatly missed and never replaced.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service to celebrate Jessica’s life at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be the Very Rev. William C. Forrey, pastor of Holy Infant Parish in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the YWCA York Anti-Human Trafficking Program, 320 East Market Street, York PA 17403.
