Joel Emory Grim
DOVER – Joel Emory Grim, 50, unexpectedly entered into rest Saturday night, October 22, 2022. He was the loving husband of Amy M. (Dentler) Grim. The couple celebrated 22 years of marriage on October 21, 2022.
Born August 30, 1972 in York, Joel was a son of the late John E. and Glenda A. "Sue" (Smith) Grim.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1990 and worked as a truck driver for Penn Waste.
Joel was a member of Buckridge Wilderness Club. He enjoyed mentoring the kids in hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed finding antiques and taking trips to the mountain camp in Centre County with the family. Joel was quite the jokester.
In addition to his wife, Joel is survived by his children, Dakota E. Grim and fiancée, Julia Querry, Brianna L. Grim and Clayton J. Grim all of Dover; a brother, Bradley A. Grim and wife, Lisa of Dover; four sisters, Vickie L. Willders and fiancé, Robert Miller of York, Jennifer E. Harvison and husband, Ronald, Charlotte M. Grim and Corinna A. Grim and life partner, Jeffrey Powell, all of Dover; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joel’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mount Royal United Methodist Church, 6451 Old Carlisle Road, Dover. Officiating will be Pastor Milton Loyer. Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving his family.
