John W. Ross
DOVER – John W. Ross, 90, entered into rest at 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover.
Born November 1, 1932 in Rossville, John was a son of the late James and Goldie (Harlacher) Ross.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. John worked for Caterpillar. He was a member of the Isaak Walton League of America and Dover Fish & Game and enjoyed hunting.
John is survived by a daughter, Beth A. Miller and husband, Donald of Wellsville; two sons, John Ross, Jr. and wife, Diane of Mechanicsburg and Rick Ross and wife, Joyce of Newport; three grandchildren, Kendal, Cory and Brittany; numerous great grandchildren; five sisters; and a brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ross; grandsons, Troy and John; two sisters; and five brothers.
Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover is serving his family.
