YORK – Josephine F. “Josie” (Swisher) Hoff, 37, entered into rest Tuesday morning, April 8, 2025 at her home.  She was the loving wife of Gary E. Hoff, Jr.  The couple celebrated seven years of marriage on July 2, 2024.

Born March 1, 1988 in York, Josie was a daughter of Sarah (Hart) Swisher of New York and the late William “Butch” Swisher.

Josie graduated in 2006 from Northeastern High School.  She was employed with Precision Custom Components in York. 

Josie loved flowers, crafting, fishing, camping and the beach.  She also enjoyed shopping and was a true girly girl.  Above all, she was an exceptional mother who absolutely loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and mother, Josie is survived by her sons, Noah Wentz and Colton Hoff; step-sons, Cameron Hoff, Prestyn Lubold and Hunter Hoff; and sister, Erin Swisher of New York.  She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Rachel Swisher.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Josie’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Sterling E. Walsh, Jr. of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York.
