Kathleen H. Shaub

YORK – Kathleen H. “Kate” Shaub, 82, entered into rest at 12:43 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 at ProMedica Skill Nursing & Rehabilitation – Kingston Court in York.  She was the wife of the late Marc E. Shaub.

Born March 19, 1939 in Columbia, Kate was a daughter of the late Russell H. and Jean E. (Hake) Eshleman.

She graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1957 and attended Lancaster School of Nursing. 

Kate had 20 years of service in the shock trauma unit at York Hospital and previously, 6 years of service for the County of York at Pleasant Acres.

She was a member of St. David’s Evangelical Congregational Church in Dover and Dover Lioness Club.  Kate was active with Penn Laurel Girl Scouts.

She is survived by four children, Carol A. Shaub of Dover and her son, Chad E. Shaub and wife, Wendy of Marietta, Marc A. Shaub and wife, Teresa of Manchester, Beverly J. Crone and husband, Ray, Jr., of Wellsville and Vicky L. Lentz of Dover; eight additional grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, J. Elaine Gerlach and husband, Ira Norman, Judith A. Steinmann and Susan L. Smith and husband, Donald, all of Lancaster County; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda L. Shaub.

Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend Kate’s graveside service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Suburban Memorial Gardens, 3875 Bull Road, Dover.  Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. N. Patrick Teaford.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving her family.
