Kevin Mullen Obituary

Kevin Earl Mullen

Kevin Earl Mullen, a beloved son, father, brother, nephew and uncle passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 52.

Born on March 23, 1974, Kevin was the son of Cheryl Kreh Sabold and the late Edwin L. Mullen.  He was also blessed to have the guidance and support of his stepfather, Joseph Sabold, who played an important role in his life.

Kevin graduated from Dover High School and later attended Automotive Training School.  He was gifted with the ability to work with his hands and took great pride in restoring cars.  Whether rebuilding an engine or bringing new life to an old vehicle, he found satisfaction in hard work and craftmanship.

Kevin loved the outdoors.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter who felt most at peace in nature.  He enjoyed living off the land, tapping maple trees for syrup and preparing barbecue meals that brought family together.

Above all else, Kevin loved his family.  He was a devoted father to his son, Wyatt Earl Mullen, who was the light of his life and his greatest pride.  He also shared a special bond with Leighton Costabile and Jeremy Gray, teaching them valuable life skills through hunting, fishing, automotive repair, and the importance of hard work, patience and self-reliance.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Cheryl Kreh Sabold; his stepfather, Joseph Sabold; his son, Wyatt Earl Mullen; his brother, Mark Mullen and sister-in-law, Monique Holzer, step brothers, Nick Sabold and Joseph Sabold; his sister, Amy Mullen Johnson and brother-in-law, Michael Johnson; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin L. Mullen, and his step sister, Rebecca Sabold Zankl.

Kevin’s kindness, sense of humor, loyalty and generous heart touched countless lives.  He was the kind of person who would help anyone in need, offer a laugh when it was needed most.

Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, his memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he provided.  He will be missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Bermudian Church, 279 Bermudian Church Rd., East Berlin, with Pastor Gary Firster, officiating.  Burial will take place privately in Dover Bethany Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
