Larry F. Hershberger, Sr.

HELLAM – Larry F. Hershberger, Sr., 81, entered into rest at 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in York.  He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (McCaffery) Hershberger.  They were married 53 years.

Born February 11, 1942 in York, Larry was a son of the late Francis and Edith (Gladfelter) Hershberger.

He graduated from West York High School and had 45 years of service for Motter Printing Press.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ in York.  He was also a member of Retreads Motorcycle Club and Road Voyage Motorcycle Club.  He was an ambulance driver in the 1970’s for Kreutz Creek Ambulance.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry F. Hershberger, Jr. and wife, Mary of Wrightsville; daughter, Ann M. Linn and husband, Kirk of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Tiana Kinard, Brittanney Hershberger, Michael Hershberger, Katie Linn, Jon Linn, Xena Linn and Jessica Linn; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Hershberger and wife, Judy of Dover.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Larry’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at St. Stephen’s U.C.C., 1569 W. Market St., York.  Officiating will be the Reverend Dr. W. Arthur Grahe, Pastor Emeritus.  Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, York.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
