DOVER - Leeann Jo (Lockard) Caplinger died April 4, 2026. She was 68 years old. 

She was born July 16, 1957 in York, Pa. She enjoyed crafting and traveling. She was married for 48 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Lockard; mother, Carmelene Mae Thompson; step-father, William Thompson; and brothers, William Clutter and Steven Clutter.

Leeann is survived by her husband, Bruce L. Caplinger; her children, Stephanie Kelley, Charles Caplinger, and Amy Caplinger; siblings, Elizabeth Gross, Clifford Lockard, Loeda Wilson, and Jerry Lockard; as well as nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leeann’s funeral at 2 p.m. and the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday,. April 10, 2026 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens.  Officiating will be family friend, Pastor Jimmy Stump.
