Lester L. Frey
DOVER – Lester Larry Frey, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family.
Lester shared 68 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rosemary P. (Becker) Frey.
Born on August 23, 1935 in Hanover, Lester was the son of the late Oliver H. Frey and Annie Mae (Snyder) Frey.
A graduate of Eichelberger High School, he retired from Columbia Gas after 33 years of service.
Lester was a member of Bethel U.C.C., Spring Grove. He also coached Little League Baseball for many years.
In addition to his wife, Lester is survived by his five children, Denise Anger of Arizona, Virginia Fultz and husband, Stephen of Dover, Kevin Frey and wife, Susan of Maryland, Theresa Laughman and husband, David of York and Frances Bradshaw and husband, James of York Springs.
He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters and his six brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11 am, preceded by a 10 am -11 am viewing at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. 47 N Queen St., Dover. Officiating will be his nephew, the Rev. Dr. Tyson L. Frey. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
