Linda G. Harper
MANCHESTER – Linda G. Harper, 75, entered into rest at 12:02 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Harper.
Born May 31, 1946 in York, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Isabella G. (Strine) Lloyd.
Linda had 18 years of service for American Color and 10 years of service for Giant in Manchester.
She was a member of Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, Women’s Club of York and the Gourmet Club. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends playing games and cards and enjoyed cooking and most especially, baking for them as well. She had a giving heart and was always willing to help those in need.
Linda is survived by her daughter, SaLinda M. Weary and husband, Mike of Dover; two step-children, Robert “Bobby” Harper and wife, Sarah of Hyattsville, MD and Thomas Harper and wife, Catherine of East York; six step-grandchildren, Sarah Mae, Robert, Thomas, Stevie, Shelly and Becky; four sisters, Zola Beshore and husband, Steve of Dover, Sue Lloyd of Manchester, Phyllis Miller of York and Delores Myers of Manchester; and ten nieces and ten nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Neil, Eddie and Larry Lloyd and two sisters, JoAnn Forsling and Jackie Myers.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service to celebrate Linda’s life at 10 a.m. and the visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion. Her graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Ave., York. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Rice and Connie Milchling. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. is serving her family.
