Lori Ann Spoon
DOVER - Lori A. Spoon, 63, entered into rest, unexpectedly, the second week of April at her home.
Born February 23, 1961 in York, she was the daughter of Judith A. (Eisenhart) Spoon of Dover and the late Blaine R. Spoon.
Lori graduated from Dover Area High School in 1979 and later earned her Associate’s Degree from Consolidated School of Business in 1983. She was currently employed with FedEx Ground in Lewisberry where she was the Eastern Region Safety Administrator. She previously worked for Consolidated Freightways and Arnold Logistics.
Lori coached Dover Varsity Field Hockey in the 90’s. She was an avid fan of both Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Football. Above everything, Lori loved to spend time with her family: Going on family vacations to places like Myrtle Beach, Bermuda or Ocean City, Maryland, celebrating holiday traditions and gathering for family dinners and picnics. Lori always loved being with the family. She adored her nephews, nieces, great nieces and great nephew. They were the true loves and light of her life.
In addition to her mother, Lori is survived by her brother, Michael E. Spoon and wife, Marie of West York; sister-in-law, Elaine Spoon, of Dover. She was predeceased by brother, Steven A. Spoon. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Scott Spoon, Brandi Spoon, Nicole Spoon, Robert Spoon and wife, Isabella. Great nieces and great nephew, Macie, Lydia and Robby. Aunt and Uncle, Sharon and Tim Bubb; cousins, Eric Graybill, Krista Hoppel and husband, Todd, their daughters, Kacie, Hailey and Caroline; Harry Miller III and his wife Pamela, and their sons Luke, Matthew, and David.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lori’s memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9 N. Main St., Dover with interment to follow in Salem Union Cemetery. Visitation will follow at the church. Officiating will be the Rev. Abigail Leese. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
