Louis R. DeHoff
DOVER – Louis R. DeHoff, 91, entered into rest early Friday morning, November 7, 2025 at UPMC Memorial. He was the loving husband of Nancy L. (Flohr) DeHoff. The couple celebrated 68 years of marriage on September 28, 2025.
Born September 9, 1934 in East Manchester Township, Louis was a son of the late Norman S. and Sue I. (Naylor) DeHoff.
He was a 1952 graduate of North York High School. Louis served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He retired in 1996 from Insulators Local Union #23 in Harrisburg.
Louis was a member of Dover Bethany Global Methodist Church since 1957. He attended church faithfully and was a former church treasurer and had attended Sunday School as well. He also volunteered his time mowing the church cemetery and baseball field. Louis was also a member of Dover Lions Club; Zeredatha White Rose Lodge #451 F&AM; and Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his wife, Louis is survived by his son, Eric L. DeHoff and wife, Carrie L. of Canal Winchester, OH; two grandsons, Brayden E. DeHoff and Ryan E. DeHoff; sister-in-law, Mary Chronister, wife of the late Thomas; sister-in law, Patsy Coleman and husband, Tex; brother-in-law, Steven Flohr; and sister-in-law, Betty Flohr, wife of the late Tim; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard DeHoff and John DeHoff and sister, Frances Lehr.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Louis’ memorial service at 11 a.m. and the visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Dover Bethany Global Methodist Church, 4510 Bull Rd., Dover. Burial will follow in Dover Bethany Cemetery where veteran’s honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Salvatore Buonocore. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
