DOVER – Lynn K. (Strockbine) Kottmyer, 78, entered into rest Sunday evening, July 6, 2025 at her home.  She was the loving wife of Edward J. “Hank” Kottmyer.  The couple celebrated 47 years of marriage on February 24, 2025.

Born September 25, 1946 in York, Lynn was a daughter of the late Robert A. Strockbine and Maxine M. (Miller) Strausbaugh.

She graduated from William Penn High School in 1964. Lynn had worked as an office manager for Print-O-Stat in Mechanicsburg and was previously employed by the office of Kruper, Danyo & Van Giesen.

She enjoyed crafting and making jewelry.  Lynn was a former treasurer for CB Social Club.  She took pride in her home, and her attention to detail was evident in her landscaping and decorating skills. Lynn was everyone's go-to for her famous macaroni salad, making it many times throughout the years. Her devotion to her husband, Hank, was unwavering for 47 years. Often stubborn, but always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She will be sorely missed by all her loved ones.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Christopher Hess and wife, Angie of Scroggins, TX; daughter, Karen Robinson and husband, Emory of East York; two step-sons, Edward Kottmyer, Jr. and wife, Deb of Wrightsville and Timothy Kottmyer and wife, Sue of North York; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Halewski and husband, Steve of Dover and Roxanne Dubbs and husband, Brad of York; and her beloved Yorkie, Anya.

According to Lynn’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family following cremation.
