DOVER - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret Mary (Reese) Brenneman.  She entered into rest on Saturday, January 13, 2024.  She was born October 12, 1929 in York.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy W. Brenneman; her son, Roy S. Brenneman; four brothers and a sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy E. Deveney and husband, Dan of Dover and Wendy F. Schaffer and husband, Jeff of York; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Cannon of Tennessee. 

She was the co-owner of Brenneman Bait & Tackle.

Margie was an avid Bingo player where she made many friends.  She always enjoyed playing cards with her family

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service to celebrate Margaret’s life at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  There will be a visitation from 3:30 to 4 p.m.  Officiating will be Pastor Katrina Rife of Fairview Brethren in Christ Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
