Mark A. Spahr
MANCHESTER – Mark Alan Spahr passed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by his dear family and his loving, devoted friends on February 20, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denah Bass Spahr, biological father, James Spahr, beloved mother, Marianne Evans Spahr (deceased), beloved Dad and mentor, Jack Stryker (deceased), beloved sister, Amy Spahr(Frank), beloved nephew, Noah, beloved stepdaughters, Lindsey and husband, Alex and two grandchildren, and Morgan and husband, Cody, and countless, loyal, loving friends.
Mark attended Dover High School (1987). He was an accomplished musician, gourmet cook, horticulturalist, botanist, artist, avid hiker, survivalist and songwriter. Mark worked for over 30 years in the printing industry as a bindery operator. He was a freelance guitarist and bass player for several local bands for many years. Mark played guitar for many years in church and in the local nursing home as well.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mark’s funeral at 2 p.m. and the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Shiloh Union Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Costello of Family Worship Center.
