Born July 27, 1936 in Rawlings, MD, he was a son of the late Leon and Edith (Flanagan) Clem.
Marvin was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kristen Baligush and sister, Frieda Combs.
Marvin graduated from Bruce High School in Westernport, MD in 1954 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. He later earned his Associate’s Degree in 1973 from Allegany Community College. Marvin retired following over 50 years of service for Allegany Ballistics Laboratory and Northrop Grumman Corporation.
He was a man of steadfast faith. He was known amongst his friends for his generosity and enjoyed helping others. Marvin also enjoyed playing baseball while he was in the Marines, as well as bowling and playing softball and golf.
He had a special love for animals, especially dogs. We will be sending him off with the ashes of his beloved pups Prince, Princess, Whiskers, Toby, Suzette, Suzie Q, William, and Harry.
He was a lover of Hawaiian shirts, Mickey Mouse, Trains, Mallard ducks, and a complete junk food junkie. He never met anything chocolate he didn’t love and was on an eternal quest for carrot cake without nuts in it!
He enjoyed driving his great grandchildren to and from school and work and watching every NCIS episode ever made repeatedly.
