DOVER – Mary J. (Waldon) Bailey, 74, entered into rest at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at her home.  She was the loving wife of Douglas R. Bailey, Sr.  The couple celebrated 56 years of marriage on July 19, 2025.

Born November 17, 1950 in Panther, WV, Mary was a daughter of the late William W. and Goldie (Justice) Waldon.

She owned and operated her own house cleaning business.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her son, Douglas R. Bailey, Jr. and wife, Sherry; son-in-law, Rod Shellenberger; five grandchildren, Isaiah and Isabella Bailey, Michael Shellenberger and wife, Bria, Rachel Shellenberger, and Alex Kriskie and fiancée, Kaitlyn Martin; sisters, Marilyn Lester and husband, Arnold and Nadine Langeheime; and brother, George Waldon.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Julee Shellenberger; and brothers, Frank, Bill, Benny and Gathern Waldon.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mary’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in St. Paul (Zeigler’s) Lutheran Cemetery, Seven Valleys.  Officiating will be Pastor Johnny Edmunds of Old Paths Baptist Church in Stoverstown.
