Mary W. Sharp

DOVER – Mary W. Sharp, 76, entered into rest at 2:14 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at WellspanYork Hospital.  She was the wife of the late David L. Sharp, Jr.

Born May 19, 1944 in Greenville, TN, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Rosalee (Penley) Smith.

Mary retired from AAA where she worked as a mail clerk for over 21 years.

She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Mary is survived by two sons, Raymond R. Sharp and wife, Lori and David A. Sharp and wife, Tracy, all of Dover; two daughters, Crystal R. Yeager and husband, Chuck of Seven Valleys and Andrea K. Fleegal and husband, Kenneth of Dover; ten grandchildren, Ray, Symphonie, Matthew, Chazz, Heather, Anthony, Victoria, Charlie, Bradley and Alyssa; 13 great grandchildren, Hannah, Dylan, Coltan, Phoenix, Nathan, Isabella, Anthony, Jr., Dante, Brycen, Laura Jean, Jacee, Remington and Asher; two sisters, Blanch Wynegar of Dallastown and Patty Halloran of Flinstone, GA; and a brother, Dwight Smith of Dallastown.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy and six brothers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mary’s graveside service at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York.  The funeral procession will form at the cemetery’s Pennsylvania Avenue entrance.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dave Mackenzie, pastor of Bridgeway Community Church. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving her family.
