MELBOURNE BEACH, FL – Maynard L. Yost, 84, a former resident of Wellsville, entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Vitas IHC in Rockledge, FL.  He was the devoted husband of the late Patricia K. (Schmuck) Yost.

Born July 27, 1939 in Dover, PA, Maynard was a son of the late John W. and Beatrice T. (Myers) Yost.  He was a devout follower of Jesus, and known as a fisher of men.

Maynard had 24 years of service for the Christian School of York where he drove bus and worked in vehicle maintenance.  He attended Riverside Baptist Church in Indialantic, FL and previously attended St. Paul's Red Run Church in East Berlin, PA and Harmony Grove Community Church in Dover, PA.

Maynard is survived by three daughters, Angela K. Thornton of Spring Grove, PA, Christine E. Lattimer of Satellite Beach, FL and Faithe E. Martin of Albuquerque, NM; two sons, David L. Yost of Damascus, VA and Albert E. Yost of Melbourne, FL; seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda K. Eisenhart and Peggy N. Eyster, both of York, PA; and brother, Michael A. Yost of East Berlin, PA.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Maynard's celebration of life at 9:30 AM, preceded by a viewing at 8:45 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St. Paul's Red Run Church, 6623 Davidsburg Rd., East Berlin, PA.  Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, PA.  Officiating will be Pastor Zachary Stec.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
