Mearl N. Bixler

DOVER - Mearl N. (Rudacille) Myers Bixler entered into rest at 12:05 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her home.  She was the loving wife of Donald E. Bixler.  They were married over 50 years.

Born July 19, 1930 in York, she was a daughter of the late Lewis C. and Mary M. (Poe) Rudacille. 

Mearl was a member of Zwingli U.C.C. in East Berlin.  Following many years as a food server at a variety of restaurants as well as the White Swan Drive-In as a car hop for thirteen years and L.G. Potato Chip Factory, she retired from the Eagles Club F.O.E 83 York at the age of 71.

Mearl is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Regina (Myers) Kopp of Dillsburg, Shirley (Myers) Miller and husband, Danny of Dover; a son, Barry Myers and wife, Sharon of Dover; step-son, Jeffrey Bixler of South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry E. Myers and Steven M. Myers; five brothers; and two sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mearl’s graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 in Salem Union Cemetery, 2705 Canal Road, Dover.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. is serving her family.
