Michael G. Sanderson

DOVER – Michael G. Sanderson, 77, of Dover, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.  He was the husband of Diane S. (Delp) Sanderson.

Michael was born August 26, 1947, in York and was the son of the late Glennwood and Mildred (Kellison) Sanderson.

He graduated in 1965 from Northern High School in Dillsburg, PA.  He was the owner and operator for 36 years of Sandy’s Service Center in Dover before his retirement in 2019.  He was a member of Pinchot Park Assembly of God, Wellsville, PA.  Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his son Andrew Sanderson and his wife Dawn of Manchester; his daughter, Angie Trump and her husband Mark of Dover; two grandchildren, Zechariah and Ethan, and his sisters, Miriam Beamer of Dover and Esther Mayeski of Lewisberry.  Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Sanderson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to his viewing on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Pinchot Park Assembly of God, 2755 Rosstown Road, Wellsville, PA. His service will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday at the church.  His burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover, PA.  Officiating at his service will be Pastor Harry Buhrman and Pastor Timothy Imes.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.  Full military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
