Morgan S. Seifert, Jr. 

DOVER – Morgan S. “Pep” Seifert, Jr., 85, entered into rest at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at UPMC Memorial.  He was the loving husband of Donna J. (Gross) Seifert.  The couple celebrated 66 years of marriage on August 30, 2021. 

Born October 17, 1936 in Dover Township, Pep was a son of the late Morgan S. and Mildred (Deardorff) Seifert.  His grandfather, Samuel Deardorff, was a major influence in his upbringing and played an integral part in his career path. 

Pep attended Dover High School and worked as a self-employed motor repairman and later as a stone mason and home construction.  He was a former member of Wellsville Fire Company and the Northern York School Board.  

Pep adored his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Seifert (wife, Kristy), Randall Seifert; and his two daughters, Luana Slothower (husband, Dennis), Julie Slothower (husband, Edward, deceased); five grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Cari, Joshua, and Zackery; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Colin Seifert and Owen “Bud” Seifert; and a sister, Sheila Updike.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Seifert and a sister, Dona Smith. 

Following cremation, there will be a celebration of Pep’s life at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community St., Wellsville.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving his family.
