Nancy M. Schrum

DILLSBURG – Nancy M. (Cunningham) Schrum, 88, entered into rest at 1:24 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Celebration Villa of Dillsburg.  She was the wife of the late Kenneth M. “Bud” Schrum.

Born April 9, 1937 in York, Nancy was a daughter of the late Jennings B. and Emma C. (Shermeyer) Cunningham.

She graduated in 1955 from Central York High School and later retired in 1998 following over 25 years of service for Stauffer Biscuit Company where she was a cookie packer.

Nancy had been a den mother for the Cub Scouts.  She enjoyed camp hosting at Pinchot Park and Ole Bull State Park in Potter County and was a member of Friends of Pinchot Park and Friends of Ole Bull State Park.

Nancy is survived by three children, Kenneth Schrum and wife, Carla of Dover, David Schrum and wife, Sue of York and Wendy Sheppard, wife of the late David, of Dillsburg; seven grandchildren, Adam Schrum, Ryan Schrum-Herrera, Sara Simon, Samantha Longworth, Colby Schrum, Caleb Sheppard and Kasey Sheppard; 12 great grandchildren; and two brothers, John Cunningham of York and Carl Cunningham of Dallastown.  In addition to her husband, parents and son-in-law, she was preceded in death by brothers, Glenn “Bud” Cunningham and Merle Cunningham and sister, Eva Arvin.

Following cremation, a gathering to celebrate Nancy’s life will be scheduled at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc.
