Nancy A. Wiley
DOVER – Nancy A. Wiley, 81, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at her home. She was the wife of the late Bruce S. Wiley.
Born Nancy Ann Kunkel on September 18, 1940 in York, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Millie (Reinecker) Kunkel and sister of the late Richard.
Nancy traveled the world. She was a party planner and loved antiques. She was the boss. Nancy was the best “doggie mom”. She was the best friend you could ever hope for.
Nancy passed peacefully and was cared for by many, including her nieces, Denise and Jamie, her close friend, Joyce Glatfelter, as well as the best nurse you could hope to have, Cindy, from SpiriTrust Lutheran and all of her aides. Nancy’s best friend, Jake, accomplished the final task Nancy gave him. In the end, he didn’t leave.
Nancy is now dancing with Bruce and throwing the ball for Trooper and Odie. Thank you Nancy, I hope I didn’t let you down.
In addition to those already mentioned, Nancy is survived by four sisters-in-law, Joyce Wiley, Janet Wiley, Kay Wiley and Shirley Krall; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Nancy’s graveside service at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Avenue, York. The procession will form at the cemetery entrance at 10:45 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor James Winter, Sr.
Instead of flowers, a contribution to a local animal shelter was Nancy's wish.
