Nicholas L. Bobbitt 

YORK – Nicholas L. Bobbitt, 81, of York, passed away, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Kittanning Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kittanning, PA.  He was the husband of the late Dorothy L. (Strickhouser) Bobbitt who died on July 7, 2021.

Mr. Bobbitt was born May 15, 1942, in Windsor Township, York County, PA and was the son of the late Charles and Marie (Bowman) Bobbitt.

He was employed as a truck driver for Yellow Freight and later Mail Contractors of America in Harrisburg.  He was a former member of First Assembly of God in York and a current member of Eastside Assembly of God in York.

Mr. Bobbitt is survived by his sons, Nicholas L. Bobbitt, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of York, PA, Michael Bobbitt and his wife, Diane of Kittanning, PA, and Matthew Bobbitt of Hanover; his daughter, Michelle Richter and her husband, Daniel of York; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.  Mr. Bobbitt was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Walter, Franklin, Charles, and Samuel Bobbitt and his sisters, Gertrude Doudrick and Virginia Wertz.

His funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Eastside Assembly of God, 3430 Eastern Blvd., York, PA.  His visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Tuesday at the church.  Burial will be private in Greenmount Cemetery.  Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Reverend Donald Belch.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover.
