Paul J. Hoffman, Sr.

YORK – Paul J. Hoffman, Sr., 89, entered into rest at 11:29 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Country Meadows of York – West.  He was the loving husband of Colleen A. (Wallick) Hoffman.  The couple celebrated 66 years of marriage on August 25, 2022.

Born March 31, 1933 in York, he was a son of the late Harry C. and Willow (Leland) Hoffman. 

Paul graduated in 1951 as valedictorian from North York High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He owned and operated Paul Hoffman Builder for over 40 years.  He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York.  Paul enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Paul J. Hoffman, Jr. and wife, Debra of Pottstown and Timothy J. Hoffman and wife, Emily of Dover; two daughters, Deborah J. Brockman of Dover and Rebekah J. Kennell and husband, Tyler of West Virginia; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Russell Hoffman of York.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Paul’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York, 5005 Carlisle Rd., Dover.  Burial will follow in Dover Union Cemetery where veteran’s honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Sterling Walsh, Jr.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving his family.
