DOVER – Paul E. Hurd, 74, entered into rest at 7:19 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at UPMC Memorial Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Sharon L. (Lamparter) Hurd.  The couple celebrated 41 years of marriage on November 3, 2020.
 
Born July 30, 1946 in Annapolis, MD, Paul was a son of the late Roy W. and Zada B. (Hummer) Hurd.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
 
Paul was a retired truck driver and member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791.  He enjoyed drag racing, camping and boating.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
 
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by four children, Dawn R. Hurd of Elizabethtown, Paul E. Hurd, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Palmyra, Kristen M. Adams and husband, Jeff of York and Jessica A. Addlesberger and husband, Bret of Dover; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Alban of Baltimore, MD; and a brother, John C. Hurd of Connelly, SC.
 
Due to Pennsylvania’s current Covid-19 pandemic gathering limits, services for Paul will be private.  Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving his family.
