Philip L. Coover
YORK – Philip L. Coover, 87, entered into rest Tuesday evening, August 29, 2023 at Pleasant Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Born November 18, 1935 in York, Philip was a son of the late Percival and Mary Jane (Hardner) Coover.
Philip was a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Coral Sea.
Philip worked as an assistant photographer and also practiced photography in his spare time. He was an avid coin collector as well.
Philip is survived by his nephew, David Peters and wife, Charlene of Dover and niece, Kathy Fitz and husband, Harold of Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Lou Peters.
Services for Philip will be private with burial in Mount Rose Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
