Philip K. Whitney
DOVER -Philip K. Whitney, 76, entered into rest Friday evening, April 17, 2026 at his home.
He was born July 25, 1949 in Denver, CO, a son of the late Edward P. and Karoline K. (Wenzinger) Whitney.
Philip worked for the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare in Rockville, MD.
He grew up in a family with a strong military history and developed an appreciation for all things military. Philip was an avid military memorabilia and G.I. Joe collector and operated an online store, Phils Militaria. He also enjoyed going to the shooting range and attending military re-enactments.
Philip is survived by his brothers, Edgar Whitney of San Marcos, CA and Zachary Whitney and his wife, Mary of Deland, FL; a nephew, Sgt. Shawn Whitney and wife, Dena; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harrison Whitney.
Following cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
