Richard N. Marwine
DOVER – Richard N. Marwine, 89, entered into rest early Thursday morning, August 28, 2025 at Pappus House in Thomasville. He was the loving husband of Joyce E. (Toomey) Marwine. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 19, 2025.
Born May 7, 1936 in Mount Carmel, Richard was a son of the late Richard C. and Clara E. (Helwig) Marwine.
He graduated from Mount Carmel High School where he played football. Richard retired from Verizon in York where he was a cable splicer and formerly a line man. He had previously been employed by Lyon Metal.
Richard had his private pilot license and owned his own plane for a few years. He also enjoyed flying model planes and was a member of York Area Radio Control Club. In his younger years, he had a boat and liked to waterski. Richard enjoyed deer hunting and was a life member of West Manchester Township Sportsmen Association. He was a former fan of NASCAR as well.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son, Todd R. Marwine and wife, Mandy of Charleston, SC; step-daughter, Tracy L. Mummert and husband, Cliff of Dover; two grandsons, Hunter Marwine and Dain Mummert; and his beloved dog, Hannah.
Richard’s wishes were to be cremated without any services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
