Richard A. Paice II
YORK – Richard A. Paice II, 50, entered into rest at 11:26 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Shelena M. (Phipps) Paice. The couple would have celebrated 19 years of marriage on September 19th.
Born May 31, 1973 in Steubenville, OH, Richard was a son of Linda D. (Bocek) Paice Hanlin Wright of Hanover, MD and the late Richard A. Paice. He was the step-son of Edward Wright of Hanover, MD and the late Raymond Hanlin.
Richard graduated from Old Mill High School in Millersville, MD. He had 16 years of service for Arconic in Lancaster where he was a machine operator. He previously worked as a brick-layer in Maryland with his step-father, Raymond.
Richard was an avid bowler who participated in numerous bowling leagues as Colony Park Lanes. He also enjoyed fishing and crabbing. Richard was a NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon and a Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan.
In addition to his wife, mother and step-father, Richard is survived by his children, Richard A. Paice III and Taylor M. Paice, both of York and his grandmother, Betty Paice of Tiltonsville, OH.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Richard’s viewing from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.
